Privacy and data
Privacy policy
We collect only what we need to answer your inquiry and send your gift. The website uses no cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising. Effective from 19 October 2026.
1. Who processes your data
The data controller is Suvenirnica DAD, Njegoševa bb, 81400 Nikšić, Montenegro. For any question about your data, write to [email protected] or call +382 68 069 543.
We process data in line with the Montenegrin Law on Personal Data Protection and, for visitors from the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
2. What data we collect and why
Order inquiry
When you send an inquiry from the Order page, your email app opens a message with the chosen pieces, your full name, phone, email, delivery address, payment method and note. We do not store this data on the website; it only reaches us when you send the email.
We use it to tell you the price and lead time, make the piece, ship it and issue an invoice. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and for the invoice also a legal obligation (point c).
Messages and custom gifts
The forms on the Visit us page also open your email app. We use your name, contact details and message only to reply and prepare a quote. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box below the form (point a), and steps before entering into a contract (point b).
Visiting the website
Like every web server, ours logs technical access data: IP address, time, requested page and browser type. These logs are used only for security and to keep the website running (legitimate interest, point f); we do not link them to your identity and keep them only briefly.
We use no analytics, profiling, advertising networks or social plugins that track visitors.
3. Cookies and browser storage
The website sets no cookies. In your browser's storage (localStorage) it keeps only two entries, which never leave your device:
dad_order_v2The list of pieces you added to your inquiryEssentialUntil you empty itdad_consent_v1Your choice in the privacy settingsEssential12 monthsEssential entries need no consent, because the inquiry list does not work without them. The map loads only once you allow it, in the privacy bar or by clicking “Show map”. You can change your choice at any time with the “Privacy settings” link at the bottom of every page.
4. Third-party services
- OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom) displays the map, only if you allow it. Your browser then sends your IP address to their servers. See the OSMF privacy policy.
- Font Awesome (Fonticons, Inc., USA) delivers the icons on the website. When loading them, your browser sends your IP address and browser details, without cookies. The basis is our legitimate interest in displaying the website correctly. See the Font Awesome privacy policy.
- Google Gmail (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC, USA) is our email service, so your messages and inquiries are stored there. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- The courier service receives your name, address and phone, only to deliver the parcel.
- The “Open in Google Maps” button takes you to Google only when you click it.
The website fonts are served from our own server, without Google Fonts. We never sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.
5. How long we keep data
- Inquiries and messages that did not lead to an order are deleted no later than one year after our last exchange.
- Invoice and order data are kept for as long as Montenegrin tax and accounting rules require.
- You delete browser storage entries yourself, by clearing the site data in your browser.
6. Your rights
At any time you can ask for:
- access to the data we hold about you and a copy of it
- correction of inaccurate data
- erasure of your data, except what we must keep by law
- restriction of processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest
- your data in a common electronic format (portability)
- withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing before the withdrawal
Write to [email protected]; we reply within one month at the latest. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the Montenegrin Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information (azlp.me) and, if you live in the EU, with the supervisory authority of your country.
7. Security and changes
The website works only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Only the shop staff have access to the email account. If we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page with a new date.
